SONY Ericsson has unveiled a new model in its Walkman line—the Sony Ericsson W205. The W205 is a slider phone and by its form, looks to be the progeny of the first slider Walkman, the W850i.
According to a company press statement, the “W205 makes the Walkman phone experience more accessible to consumers and is perfect for those who want all the classic Sony Ericsson mobile phone features while enjoying music on the go.”
The unit has the standard Walkman player, FM radio and TrackID features of the phone line headlining Sony’s Walkman brand. It comes with shuffle and loop mode to add variety in the playing of your music files.
“The W205 is perfect for those who love portable music but have never had the Walkman phone experience.” Sony Ericsson marketing business manager Timo Maassmann said in a press statement.
The phone comes with standard features you’d expect from a modern multi-media phone: an integrated camera (1.3 megapixel with up to 2.2x digital zoom), video recording, Bluetooth connectivity, digital media playing capability, music tones, and picture messaging.
The phone also comes with multiple phone books to keep your contacts organized even if someone borrows your phone.
The W205 will be available by the third quarter of this year.
