my samsung jet works for this app… it does work for Globe… but never works on smart sim.

Yes, you can. Try the telcos’ person finder services. They use triangulation by cellsites to locate cellphones. I tried these before and these were accurate up to a few kilometers.

I was wondering if I could track my daughter’s phone by simply using her cell phone number? or the sim? because I believe that this will be helpful for my family. So how will i do it? How I could track my daughter using her sim cp#?

hi, google map works fine with my location on nokia E61i. I just turned it on some days ago (after updating, but having no idea of the new feature), and at once I saw myself driving on a motorway around Vienna. That was a big surprise. It was quite exact, and the point moved correctly as the car moved too.

got the google location feature working with my sony ericsson k800i. no problem at all.

best with smart sim. less cost for internet connection.

Thanks for the info. That’s cool. I tried it with a K850i and the location, according to the system, is accurate up to more than a kilometer . It was a pretty wide circle.

Heyya,
Just wanted to let you know that My Location works flawlessly on my Windows Mobile Samsung SGH-i607 (otherwise known as a “BlackJack”). I’m in the US, in downtown Washington DC and it seems to be accurate to within about 50 meters. I’d love to be able to publish My Location periodically so my wife has an idea where I am when taking long motorcycle trips.

I do. I guess that’s the advantage of living it up fully while you are still in your teens and early twenties: I have hanky-pankies enough for a lifetime .

Plus, you can always turn the feature off when you don’t want to be located
