Yeah, GTEC pens are great for writing and you’re right, the tips are rather fragile. Unlike you, however, I can never use a cellphone as a note-taking tool. My wife wife does use it at times for that, though.

I love those pens, except the tip gets easily destroyed when dropped. I don't use a notebook but use my cellphone as an ad hoc notetaking tool.
